Yes, Sirius Black was all those things. He was a “blood traitor” to his family but the truest of friends to the Marauders. Though not a bad person at heart, Sirius also took part and even encouraged James’ bullying of Snape- which was completely wrong. However, he was innately a good person, enough so that he refused to accept his family’s beliefs in pureblood supremacy. Probably the most laid-back, devil-may-care of his friends and maybe even the most arrogant (although James is tough competition in the arrogance field). He was undoubtedly a troublemaker. Quite immature when it came to the subject of Snape considering he was not above calling him “Snivellus” in OOTP, already a grown man. He was also very philosophical when it came to words, as half the inspirational quotes in HP are accredited to him. There is no questioning his obvious father figure like role in Harry’s life, as Harry always looked up to him as a sort of role model.
For being raised in a family whose beliefs were extraordinarily racist and natures were exceedingly arrogant, Sirius grew up to be a great man. He died fighting for what he believed in and lived his life honestly. He was also very intelligent as he tells Harry that “The world isn’t split up into good people and Death Eaters. We've all got both light and dark inside us. What matters is the part we choose to act on. That's who we really are”, which shows the deeper, more thoughtful side of him.

Sirius is my favourite character! When I read his death scene I was crying hysterically. And then my mum came in my room and saw me lying on the floor crying my eyes out with my book open next to me. She asked what was wrong and I practically shouted "SIRIUS IS DEAD
